Recovery of the most essential part of oneself is a gift in life. To be walking in one's own path is a delight and is hoped for by everyone. Individuals who have experienced trauma as children can sometimes hold this trauma, PTSD and grief within them. All the while also holding down jobs, family and societal pressures to achieve and "fake it till you make it" "grind then grind harder.
There comes a time when everyone must pay attention to the signs. The most reasons why mistakes are made when seeking recovery from mental pain and addictions are:
*Faking it is no longer an option
*Not having support & doing it alone
*Fear of the unknown
*Reluctant Self-Care
*Reparenting Self Tools
This holding of pain plays out in addiction, overindulgence, stress and sometimes violence towards self and others. As a Certified Peer Counselor for Changes In Action @ DHB Recovery Network, I will be there to support, encourage and share resources with you. Creating a safe space for hope and cultivating the desire to thrive rather than just to survive.

Changes In Action @ DHB (Devotion Health & Beauty) Recovery Network is here to facilitate safe spaces for those who desire to walk in Recovery from Addictions, PTSD, Trauma, Grief/Loss, Mother Hunger, Depression, Anxiety, Aging and Life Challenging Changes.
I am a Certified Peer Counselor who supports people in recovery to find their own way by walking with them. A core aspect of the work involves helping peers set personal goals and work toward achieving them. Focusing on the Golden thread to tie their initial needs to specific, measurable, achievable, realistic time-delineated (also known as smart) goals, I work within a team assisting clinicians, providers, practitioners, and therapist supporting treatment planning, wellness recovery action plans, and documentation.
I have seen, witnessed and experienced the power of recovery for myself and many others. I was led early on in my own recovery to start women’s recovery groups, to attend existing 12 step recovery programs and to get outpatient treatment, and in all of these the commonalities were the power of the group. From founding and facilitating 6 groups both physical and on zoom and 2 Women’s Wellness retreats I have found my passion.
That is how Devotion, Health and Beauty DHB Recovery Network was born. The power of the group, the power of the network, the successes in group recovery, knowing that I and many others cannot do it alone. With the help of My Higher power who I call God or Ahaya in Hebrew I now have a foundation around me who are focused on recovery, mental wellness, and self-care.
When Covid hit it threw the world into isolation and many died, returning to their addiction, or not finding a space to be in a group to help them find their way out and I will back up from saying out because Recovery is a lifelong process. we are all recovering from something daily even if it’s just our attitudes lol. We all felt and saw that isolation is not good.
Today people can gather again. Zoom and YouTube have opened up a whole new world of possibilities. As I have united with people from around the globe my life has been forever changed. It is my desire to continue to plant seeds of hope, wellness and recovery. I am open to collaborating and networking to do this.
What is not said can fester inside your BEING...Recovery changes lives, families, communities, the world.
The one mistake made in the recovery process is to not take the time to use tools offered for strengthening the recovery journey. Listen at your convenience to the Daily Podcasts on
